I Opened 10 Mini Labubu Blind Boxes—Here’s What I Learned

I honestly never thought I’d open ten Mini Labubu blind boxes. I expected it to be one box and nothing more. But after one I ended up collecting more. I even got more boxes than I originally planned to. In total I ended up doing a full unboxing session again way more than I originally expected to. I also ended up having a nice session filled with a ton of suspense and excitement and even a little bit of chaos.

I always look back at the excitement when blind boxes were a new trend. I also remember opening one and the surprise of not knowing what I got. I remember my first figure being common. I even remember it having a cute and nice design. That figure went straight to my desk. The surprise of not knowing was so nice to come home to. All of the Mini Labubu figures had their own unique designs and fun personalities so it was fun to collect them and fun to receive them when it was a surprise.

But I have to say the experience changes when you get duplicates. My first figure repeat was with the sixth box and to say the least it was not the greatest moment. The thing with blind boxes is you can’t collect them just to have all the figures and have all the rare ones. It is so much more than that. It’s about waiting to be surprised and the experience you get opening them.

I stopped at box number ten and to my surprise I had built a little collection of figures. I also got one rare figure that made the experience so much more worth than I thought it was. I was so happy and the collection made it worth it. My entire day was so much better after getting that box, The change in my emotions was a positive thing and I loved it.

So what do I take away from this First it’s likely best to set boundaries overall with this little adventure since it could easily become expensive before you know it. Second it’s useful to appreciate the experience as a whole as a fun thing to do instead of an interactive game like “how do you win?”. Lastly between you and me getting the same thing isn’t the end of the world if you are open to gifting or trading. So is this a fun thing I’ll do again? Most likely but probably not with a batch this big. Mini Labubu blind boxes do more than allow you to own little collectibles and that’s why it’s so hard to say no to and why it’s worthwhile to get some again in the future.
