February 25, 2026I never expected to open ten Mini Labubu blind boxes Starting off with just one I ended up with an insane amount of suspense excitement and chaos. I ended up doing an entire unboxing session and I didn’t even mean for that to happen.
When blind boxes first came out I remember the thrill of opening one up. I even remember the first figure I got being common with a cute design. That figure went straight to my desk excitement of being surprised and not knowing what I was going to get was really fun. Each Mini Labubu figure had unique designs and personalities so it was kind of a good experience to get them.
Duplicates however is where the experience changed. I had my first repeat figure with box number six and at first it was disappointing that I had gotten a double. I realized blind boxes are not just about collecting and getting the rare ones it was about the entire experience of opening and getting surprised.
When I got to box number ten I had a little collection of figures in front of me along with one rare figure that changed the entire experience. It was so satisfying to add it to my collection and it really changed my emotional experience in a good way.
So what did I learn? First it’s probably best to set a budget as these costs can add up quickly. Second enjoy the process and don’t fixate on specific goals. And third duplicates can still be a win if you are open to trading or gifting.
Would I do it again? Probably but maybe not ten at the same time. Mini Labubu blind boxes are about the experience of opening them not the contents and that experience is surprisingly hard to resist.
